Sampling transition paths: some applications to biological systems 报告人:Prof. Transition paths are the stochastic paths that take a system from one state to another. In this talk, we show how they can be generated by a modified Langevin equation to save the simulation time for rare events in the presence of high barriers. Some applications include knotting-unknotting of circular DNA (in presence of topoisomerase), and to some allosteric transitions in proteins.
