报告题目:Probing the “nano-bio” interactions between DNA-based nanostructures and the cell 报告人:Dr. Chung Hang Jonathan CHOI Department of Electronic Engineering (Biomedical Engineering), the Chinese University of Hong Kong 时间:2015年3月30号(星期一)上午10:00 地点:唐仲英楼B501 联系人:沈珍教授,zshen@nju.edu.cn,83686679 摘要: Intracellular delivery of nucleic acids as gene regulation agents typically requires the use of cationic carriers or viral vectors, yet issues related to cellular toxicity or immune responses hamper their attractiveness as therapeutic candidates. The discovery that spherical nucleic acids (SNAs), polyanionic structures comprised of densely packed DNA oligonucleotides covalently attached to the surface of a nanoparticle core, can effectively enter more than 50 different cell types presents a potential strategy for overcoming the limitations of conventional transfection agents. This presentation will explore how SNAs fundamentally interact with cells from three different perspectives. These results reinforce the notion that SNAs can serve as therapeutic payloads and targeting structures to engage biological pathways not readily accessible with linear oligonucleotides. 报告人简介: E-mail:jchchoi@ee.cuhk.edu.hk Research field: nanomedicine, “bio-nano” interactions, bio-inspired nanomaterials, imaging Publication: Since 2009, he has published more than 14 papers on top journals including Nat.
